Biografia:: Dopo la laura di scienze informatiche, Tim Schafer entra alla LucasArts (allora Lucasfilm Games) nel 1988 dove, dopo alcuni incarichi minori, inizia a collaborare con Dave Grossman per i testi dei primi due The Secret of Monkey Island, diretti da Ron Gilbert. Dopo l'abbandono di Gilbert, Schafer diviene figura centrale dello studio dirigendo Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle e Grim Fandango. Nel 2000 fonda lo studio indipendente Double Fine Productions, che dopo alcune escursioni nell'action-adventure 3D come Psychonauts e Brutal Legend, torna alle avventure grafiche con Broken Age e le versioni rimasterizzate dei suoi classici Lucas.
